Church Keyboard Center is celebrating the installation of new Rodgers organs in four Catholic churches this summer. Two of these organs will be featured in dedication concerts–all are invited to attend.
St. Joseph Chapel at Santa Teresita, Duarte
This new Rodgers Inspire 233 organ–the first to be installed in So. California–is ideally suited for this resonant chapel, replacing a 40-year old Rodgers organ. The Inspire 233 brings the authentic sound of pipes to this beautiful space.
The organ dedication is Sunday, September 30 at 3:00 pm. Click here for details.
Ss. Felicitas & Perpetua, San Marino
This organ is our latest Rodgers hybrid–a seamless combination of the existing pipe organ (11 ranks) and a new Rodgers Artist 589 three-manual console that expands the organ to a total equivalent of 50 ranks.
The debut concert is Sunday, November 11 at 1:00 pm. Click here for details.
St. John Vianney, Hacienda Heights
The new St. John Vianney building and organ is a seven-year story that started with an arson fire in 2011 that totally destroyed the former church building and pipe organ. The new church is an expansive modern design by architects Renzo Zucchetto (Santa Monica) that creates a beautiful acoustic and environment for the new Rodgers Artist 599 three-manual organ. The church was dedicated June 23 led by Archbishop Gomez and Msgr. Nichols, with Director of Music / Organist Michael Gribschaw at the organ, and the combined choirs of the parish directed by Christine Leong Brydges.
Holy Angels, Arcadia
Church Keyboard Center is rounding out a busy summer with the installation of a new Rodgers Artist 589 three-manual organ at Holy Angels. This installation will be completed in October. Parish organist Jerry Jaco is delighted to be getting the new organ after several years without an organ.
