On February 3, 2018, Dan Miller, tonal director for Rodgers Instruments, played a stirring dedication concert on the new Artist 599 organ to a full house of church members and guests at the Mandarin Baptist Church in Alhambra, CA. Mr. Miller’s selection of repertoire showed off the wide range of pipe organ and orchestral voices the Artist 599 offers.
The new instrument is the vision of long-time Music Director and Organist Tony Ha.
An expanded audio system and newly created speaker chambers takes advantage of additional audio channels available on the Artist 599 organ, enabling the organ to have an impressive presence in the sanctuary.
The new organ is interfaced to the pipes that were installed when the first Rodgers organ was installed in the 1990s.
